Jerry Goodman - Perputuum Mobile

Jerry Goodman was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 16, 1949.  He is best known for playing in the bands "The Flock" and "Mahavishnu Orchestra".  I first heard him in Mahavishnu Orchestra and then on his solo album "It's Alive".  All of the music is great on this album.  The two tracks that stand out most in my mind are "Going on 17" and the "Theme From Perry Mason".  The best way I can think of to describe his violin playing is to think of that lead guitarist that plays those notes that make you smile and send chills through your body.  Be sure to listen to this video "Perputuum Mobile".  It is a bit short but it's really good!

You can listen to samples of his music and find a great selection of CDs, MP3s, and DVDs at the
Jerry Goodman Store
